Contact: DisabilityChair@geo3550.org
People with disabilities & their caregivers, or with medical conditions putting them at higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19 are eligible to register for vaccination appointments starting March 22.
Statewide guidance goes into effect on the 22nd; however, some counties and centers may be interpreting them differently, or be relying on outdated guidance when you call.
It is critical to call to book your appointment as soon as possible. Be persistent – keep trying to schedule and advocating for your access needs.

JARC
Calling Disabled Vaccine Seekers and Volunteers! JARC is a metro-Detroit non profit serving people with developmental disabilities via group homes, independent living support, and in-home respite care.
As part of Detroit Disability Power’s #ComeThroughCounties campaign, JARC is providing vaccines to people with disabilities 16 years+ and caregivers no matter where they live in southeastern Michigan.
If this is you or someone you love, please email Jacob Allen at JacobAllen@jarc.org or call at 248-940-2751 to schedule an appointment at one of their upcoming clinics.
Also, if you’d like to volunteer on clinic days at JARC (greeting people as they arrive, checking in people for appointments, staffing post-vaccination rooms, etc), please also email Jacob. Successful volunteers have experience in working with the disability community, are patient, and are good communicators.
