Join us at the People’s Gala to celebrate GEO’s 50th anniversary! RSVP BELOW
For 50 years, GEO has fought for fair wages, improved healthcare, and more for our graduate student workers at the University of Michigan. That 50 years has come with hardships but has also come with it a community that is unique to the university. A group of dedicated labor organizers fighting for a better way of life at the University and across Southeast Michigan. Come join fellow organizers and activists from the years to celebrate what we have done, savor old times, and think about the future of this union that has made an impact around the country. We will have dinner provided, speakers, musical guests, and a silent auction to show where we have been and where we will go.
At the 50th People’s Gala, we will be raising funds for our Worker Solidarity Fund, ensuring that grad workers can continue to stand up for their rights without fear of economic hardship. We hope to be prepared for another strike if it becomes necessary. Your donation and attendance helps provide emergency support for grad students experiencing financial hardship, support those impacted by university retaliation, and sustain our organizing power for the future.
