Membership Meeting: WEDNESDAY, FEB 23, 7PM
KRAUS NATURAL SCIENCES BLDG — AUDITORIUM
NW corner of the Diag, with the “greenhouse”)
Since we extended our contract (from Feb 1 to Feb 24), there has been some progress at the bargaining table, but the Administration has refused to meaningfully respond to most of our key proposals. To win a contract that accomplishes our goals of increasing access and eliminating discrimination, we need to put pressure on the administration to make movement at the table.
We need adequate child care subsidies, fair wage increases, equal pay for equal work, fair treatment for international employees, low-cost and full-access health care, including equal benefits for TLGB families, and protection from discrimination on the basis of gender identity and gender expression.
We can win all of these things if we stand up and stick together.
The next month will determine our contract for the next three years. For more info on any
of the issues check out: GEO Newsletters, GEO in the News; lend a hand to win this contact: contact your departmental steward or call the office. 995-0221.
You can also show your support at the Bargaining Table:
*** FRIDAY, FEB 18, 1-5: 2455 MASON
***TUESDAY, FEB 23, 10-1: MI UNION 2105B
[Bring your work, stay for as long or as little as you like…]
In solidarity, Dave Dobbie GEO President
