GEO Members Past, Present and Future! Please take a moment to fill out this short (~10 min) survey about your Bargaining Priorities. It doesn’t matter if you’ve already spoken to someone about these priorities or participated in prioritization activities at past GMMs — all members past, present and future should fill it out!
This survey is part of our ongoing effort this year to develop a platform (a ranked list of priorities) for bargaining (AKA contract re-negotiation), which will commence in early Fall 2016. As a democratic organization it is important to us that as many members as possible participate in this process, so that when it comes time to negotiate the next contract under which you will work, we will be able to confidently represent your needs, desires and preferences.
Beyond completing this survey, it is important that members participate in other ways too — through department-level meetings with colleagues, by attending GMMs, by volunteering to be a department steward, or joining one of the many committees that ensure the union functions optimally and communicates regularly with the membership. Members just like you have volunteered in these capacities over the years, and we hope you will join us in whatever capacity you can so that this proud and inspiring legacy continues forward with just as much power. GEO is us!
Therefore, don’t forget to attend the first GMM of the term on Wed. February 17, 2016 at 6pm in the Rackham Ampitheatre to hear about the results of this survey, as well as the next steps in the bargaining prioritization process.

You can take the survey here:

& Those who complete it can choose to be entered into a raffle for $50!
If you have any questions about the survey, bargaining, or getting more involved, email us at bargcomm2016@geo3550.org.
