Over five hundred UAW Eaton Aerospace workers have been on strike since earlier this month, when they walked off the job in protest of their employer’s new two-tier retirement system, which would end pension plans for new hires, low wages, and insufficient health care benefits. GEO stands in solidarity with our fellow workers and wishes them success at the bargaining table.

We were deeply saddened to hear of the death of Seth Webb this past Saturday night and extend our deepest sympathies to his family, loved ones and coworkers. Seth was picketing outside of the company plant in Jackson, Michigan, with his fellow workers when a drunk driver lost control of his truck and plowed into a picket line outside the company plant. Seth was taken immediately to a nearby hospital but did not survive his injuries. Additionally, two other workers – Kyle Alger and Aaron Fraser – were seriously injured in the crash and are now in critical condition. If you can, please consider donating to the fundraisers set up for Seth Webb and his comrades, already linked above.

In Solidarity,

Graduate Employees’ Organization, GEO 3550
